Job summary

Electrical Automation Services in Carol Stream, IL seeks an experienced maintenance technician to install, configure and troubleshoot photo eyes, sensors, PLC I/O modules, and control wiring in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will diagnose Profibus, serial and industrial Ethernet networks, program PLCs and HMIs using ladder logic, and perform preventive maintenance on conveyors, lasers, and production equipment, with opportunities for raises based on performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with PLCs, servo systems and packaging equipment preferred.
• Familiarity with lockout/tagout and manufacturing safety procedures preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, configuration and troubleshooting of photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC I/O modules and associated control wiring.
• Provide troubleshooting for analog and digital controls with 480V, 3-phase power distribution, motors, drives, servos, and soft starts.
• Maintain and troubleshoot encoders and load cells.
• Program and troubleshoot PLC and HMI interfaces; modify PLC logic using ladder logic.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose graphical HMI and communication protocols (Profibus, serial, industrial Ethernet).
• Diagnose electrical schematics and perform preventive maintenance on Laser Guided Vehicles, conveyors, and production equipment.

Ability to work 3rd shift, Overtime (1.5) after 40 hours and double time after 48 hours. 10 paid holidays, PTO upon start, regular and irregular raises based on performance.Duties:Perform installation, configuration and troubleshooting of photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC input/output modules, and all associated control wiring.Provide troubleshooting expertise of analog and digital controls with 480V, 3 phase power distribution systems, motors, variable frequency drives, servo drives, and soft starts.Maintain and troubleshoot position feedback devices encoders, and load cells.Programming and troubleshooting of PLC and HMI interfaces.Perform configuration and logic modifications to PLC control systems.
