Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is hiring for a PLC/automation technician responsible for installation, configuration and troubleshooting of controls and sensors across production lines. You will diagnose and repair analog/digital circuits, manage 480V three-phase systems, and support PLC/HMI programming."

3rd shift availability is expected, with overtime and a strong emphasis on safety procedures like lockout/tagout. Prior packaging equipment maintenance is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Demonstrated experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
• Experience with computerized maintenance systems preferred.
• Experience with packaging equipment in manufacturing preferred.
• Thorough understanding of safety procedures (lockout/tagout, confined spaces, PPE).
• PLC programming experience preferred.
• Experience with encoders, servomotors, and amplifiers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, configuration and troubleshooting of photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC I/O modules, and associated control wiring.
• Troubleshoot analog and digital controls for 480V, 3-phase power, motors, VFDs, servo drives, and soft starts.
• Maintain and troubleshoot encoders and load cells; program and troubleshoot PLC and HMI interfaces.
• Modify PLC control logic in ladder logic; work with integrated and standalone HMI systems.
• Troubleshoot communication protocols (Profibus, serial, industrial Ethernet).
• Diagnose equipment issues using electrical schematics; perform preventive maintenance on Laser Guided Vehicles, conveyors, and production equipment.

Ability to work 3rd shift, Overtime (1.5) after 40 hours and double time after 48 hours. 10 paid holidays, PTO upon start, regular and irregular raises based on performance.Duties:Perform installation, configuration and troubleshooting of photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC input/output modules, and all associated control wiring.Provide troubleshooting expertise of analog and digital controls with 480V, 3 phase power distribution systems, motors, variable frequency drives, servo drives, and soft starts.Maintain and troubleshoot position feedback devices encoders, and load cells.Programming and troubleshooting of PLC and HMI interfaces.Perform configuration and logic modifications to PLC control systems.
