Job summary

Stanford University’s SLAC LCLS ECS division seeks a Controls and Data Systems Integration Engineer to design, implement, and sustain advanced hardware and software for scientific instrumentation. You will manage full lifecycle of controls, data acquisition, and integrations across detectors, timing, and laser diagnostics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree may be considered in lieu of some experience.
• Strong programming in C/C++ and Python in Linux environments.
• Experience with EPICS-based control systems and IOC development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, install, validate experimental systems and acceptance testing.
• Design, commission, operate, and sustain distributed controls and data acquisition systems.
• Develop EPICS-based control software and device support; maintain documentation.
