Shamrock Business Consulting is seeking a Controls Commissioning Engineer for a data center project in El Paso, TX. You will prove out the BMS, EPMS, and control systems coordinating power and cooling with field verification.

3+ years of experience in commissioning, knowledge of BACnet and Modbus, and proficiency with commissioning software like CxAlloy, Bluebeam, or Procore are required. This role involves coordination with vendors and operations teams on a major facility.

• 3+ years of controls commissioning, controls integration, or BMS/EPMS startup experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of BMS and EPMS platforms, PLCs, and building automation protocols (BACnet, Modbus).
• Ability to read controls drawings, points lists, and sequences of operation.
• Experience with L2–L5 commissioning on critical facilities. Data centers strongly preferred.
• Comfortable with commissioning software (CxAlloy, Bluebeam, Procore, or similar).

Responsabilidades

• Run Level 2–5 commissioning on BMS, EPMS, and control systems that support critical power and cooling.
• Verify point-to-point checkout, alarms, trends, and sequences of operation against design intent.
• Validate controls integration across mechanical and electrical systems, including BACnet, Modbus, and fiber-based control networks.
• Write and review FPTs and IST scripts. Track issues to closure in the commissioning platform.
• Diagnose controls, network, and instrumentation problems in the field and drive them to resolution.
• Work hand-in-hand with controls vendors, electrical and mechanical Cx teams, the GC, and the owner's operations team.

Our client is a national leader in NETA testing, commissioning, and staff augmentation for the mission-critical industry.

They need a Controls Commissioning Engineer for a data center project in El Paso, TX. You'll prove out the BMS, EPMS, and control systems that tie the power and cooling plant together. If you know how to make controls talk, and how to prove it on paper, we want to hear from you.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Controls Commissioning: Run Level 2–5 commissioning on BMS, EPMS, and control systems that support critical power and cooling.
• Point-to-Point & Sequences: Verify point-to-point checkout, alarms, trends, and sequences of operation against design intent.
• Integration: Validate controls integration across mechanical and electrical systems, including BACnet, Modbus, and fiber-based control networks.
• Documentation: Write and review FPTs and IST scripts. Track issues to closure in the commissioning platform.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose controls, network, and instrumentation problems in the field and drive them to resolution.
