Job summary

Hargrove & Associates Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a Controls + Automation Engineering Co-Op to support project teams with hands-on design and testing.

You will work under supervision to learn engineering standards and contribute to automation tasks across DCS, PLC, and HMI systems. Ideal students are enrolled in a Bachelor or Master program in Chemical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering with a GPA of 2.7 or higher and strong communication, time management, and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master program in Chemical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
• GPA 2.7 or above.

Responsibilities

• Assist with automation and controls engineering tasks.
• Assist in DCS, PLC, and HMI systems development as project needs.
• Produce estimate-level preliminary designs and detail design calculations.
• Prepare drawings, sketches, reports, and spreadsheets for projects.
• Support engineers with layout and detailing as needed.
