Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is seeking an experienced Controls & Automation Engineer to design, implement, and optimize advanced industrial automation within a modern manufacturing environment. You will program Rockwell PLCs, configure HMI/SCADA, and support OT connectivity across PLCs, SCADA, MES, Historian, and enterprise platforms.

You will collaborate with controls, engineering, operations and IT teams to deliver reliable data-driven operations and robust security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in electrical, automation engineering, computer engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years hands-on in industrial controls, automation, or manufacturing integration.
• Strong experience with Rockwell PLCs and ladder logic, structured text and function block diagrams.
• Experience with Kepware, OPC UA/DA and OT data integration.
• Familiarity with industrial networking and cybersecurity concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy PLC logic using Rockwell platforms (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, GuardLogix).
• Configure and support HMI/SCADA (FactoryTalk View ME/SE) and integrate motion control (PowerFlex, Kinetix).
• Perform commissioning, startup support, loop tuning, testing, and troubleshooting of equipment and systems.
• Configure and optimize Kepware for real-time OT data acquisition and device connectivity.
• Implement and troubleshoot protocols (EtherNet/IP, CIP, Modbus TCP/RTU, Profinet, OPC UA/DA, MQTT, REST).
• Collaborate with IT/OT for secure network architecture and plant-floor connectivity.
