About the role

The company is hiring Controls / Automation Engineers across multiple levels, from developing engineers through experienced senior-level professionals. The successful candidate will design, develop and support PLC and HMI programs used within industrial and electrical power systems.

The level of the position will be matched to the individual’s experience, with opportunities ranging from hands-on programming and troubleshooting through to technical project ownership, training and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and support PLC, HMI and related control-system programs.
• Review customer requirements and translate specifications into practical controls solutions.
• Coordinate the technical aspects of customer projects, keeping work on schedule and within budget.
• Troubleshoot controls, design, manufacturing and quality issues alongside cross-functional teams.
• Support testing, commissioning and field troubleshooting when required.

Skills needed

• One or more years of controls engineering, automation or related technical experience.
• Hands-on PLC and HMI programming experience.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus and Ethernet-based networks.
• Ability to interpret customer specifications and coordinate technical project requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent technical training and experience.

Experience with SCADA, system integration, protective relays, electrical distribution equipment, utilities, renewable energy, energy storage or data centers would be advantageous.
