Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a skilled Ctrl Systems Engineer / Automation Engineer to support automated material handling equipment. You will troubleshoot PLC/networked systems, improve reliability, and coordinate with operations and contractors.

A strong background in Allen-Bradley PLCs, SCADA, and robotics is required. Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of related experience and can work a flexible schedule to support operations across CBRE’s client sites.

Qualifications

Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Bachelor's degree preferred with 2–5 years of relevant experience.
Experience in two engineering design cycles including specification, selection and programming.
2+ years with PLC programs (Allen-Bradley).
2+ years with robotics system components and controls.
2+ years with SCADA systems.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends/nights/holidays.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and modify software for material handling control systems (PLC, PC).
Support and maintain MHE equipment like conveyors and sortation systems.
Monitor Ethernet/ControlNet/DeviceNet networks and drive improvements.
Lead reliability improvements from concept to implementation.
Coordinate with site team and outside contractors on projects.
Communicate project timelines and impacts to leadership and operations.
