L&M Corrugated Container is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead the accounting team and partner closely with our CFO on strategy, performance, and growth. This role blends day-to-day accounting leadership with strategic input in a growing manufacturing environment.

You will oversee financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, audits, and process improvements while playing a critical role in shaping the business's future.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 6-10 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• 2-3+ years of experience in a financial management or accounting leadership role.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing accounting and cost accounting.
• Demonstrated experience with financial reporting, budgeting, audits, and inventory.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and support a team.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong attention to detail while maintaining an understanding of the bigger business picture.
• Corrugated packaging or related industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting team and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial reporting.
• Partner with the CFO on financial strategy, business decisions, and process improvements.
• Prepare, analyze, and present monthly and annual financial statements.
• Manage cost accounting processes and ensure accurate product costing.
• Lead annual budgeting and financial planning process.
• Oversee fixed assets and capital budgeting decisions; support investments.
• Oversee inventory control and reconciliation; manage audits with external auditors.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and financial reporting standards.
