Job summary

Venteon is seeking an Accounting & Finance professional in Detroit to manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, payroll processing for 24 employees, and AR/AP entries in QuickBooks. The role includes preparing invoices, conducting income analysis, and identifying cost savings opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• Experience with QuickBooks is required.

Responsibilities

• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Processing bi-weekly payroll for a team of 24; paying withholding taxes; filing monthly and quarterly IRS and State payroll forms.
• Preparing, tracking, and sending monthly invoices for billable hours on active jobs.
• Preparing, entering, and maintaining all AR & AP entries including invoices, bills, and payments in QuickBooks.
• Completing monthly & quarterly income statement analysis to determine cost savings opportunities.
• Implementing process improvements.
• Recommending and implementing new financial strategies to increase business functions and profitability such as investing in CDs, opening new lines of credit, and offering 401(k) benefits.
