Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC seeks a Controller in Plainville, CT, offering a top-tier compensation package. The role provides direct exposure to senior leadership and two profit-sharing bonus opportunities annually.

You will oversee all accounting functions, drive financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, and partner with executives to drive KPIs and strategic decisions. A Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance leadership experience in a Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance.
• Experience leading ERP optimization initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, fixed assets, and inventory accounting.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely close processes.
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Partner with executive leadership to analyze performance, develop KPIs, and drive operational and financial decision-making.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop accounting staff while driving continuous process improvement across the finance organization.
