Job summary

Pennsylvania Institute of Technology in Media, PA seeks an experienced Controller to oversee the integrity of financial records and timeliness of reports. The role reports to the CFO and requires strong GAAP knowledge, process discipline, and leadership across accounting functions.

The successful candidate will manage month-end close, billings, payroll, and audits, while supporting budget development and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field.
• Active CPA license.
• At least five years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
• Experience preparing financial statements and coordinating external audits.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes and prepare financial statements.
• Maintain general ledger and ensure accurate recording of transactions.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll accounting, and reconciliations.
• Perform daily reconciliations of cash and investments.
• Support annual operating and capital budget development and monitoring.
• Coordinate annual financial and retirement-plan audits and provide documentation for audits.
