Pierre Landscape seeks an experienced Controller to lead the Accounting & Finance Department in Irwindale, CA. You will own all accounting operations, oversee A/P, A/R, payroll, contracts, tax, and reporting, and partner with leadership to drive sound financial decisions.

The role offers a clear path to CFO in 2–3 years based on performance, with a salary of $120,000–$150,000 and a comprehensive benefits package. Strong leadership and construction experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required; CPA or MBA is a plus.
• At least 10+ years of accounting experience, construction accounting preferred.
• 3+ years as a Controller or higher-level financial leader, managing staff.
• Experience with $25M+ annual revenue and multi-department leadership.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, full-cycle accounting, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Accounting & Finance Department and oversee day-to-day accounting activities.
• Manage A/P, A/R, Payroll, Contracts & Compliance and related functions.
• Own the full accounting cycle and ensure accurate, timely transactions.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close and tax preparation.
• Direct annual budgeting and financial reporting to leadership.
• Develop and lead the accounting team for growth and reliability.
• Coordinate audits and ensure compliance across departments.
