Pierre Landscape in Irwindale, CA is seeking an experienced Controller to lead our Accounting & Finance Department. You will own all accounting operations, drive controls, and deliver timely financial information to the President and leadership team.

This role offers a clear path to a CFO position within 2–3 years based on performance, with opportunities to influence budgeting, project costing, payroll, and audits across the construction business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required; CPA or MBA a plus.
• 10+ years of accounting experience, construction accounting preferred.
• 3+ years as a Controller or senior financial leader managing staff.
• Experience with $25M+ annual revenue and multiple departments.
• Strong GAAP, full-cycle accounting, budgeting and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Accounting & Finance Department and oversee day-to-day accounting.
• Direct A/P, A/R, Payroll, Contracts & Compliance and related functions.
• Manage month-end and year-end closes and financial statements prep.
• Oversee cash flow, budgeting, and regular financial reporting to leadership.
• Coordinate audits, tax compliance, and insurance-related financial tasks.
• Develop and coach the Accounting Team for growth and reliability.
