L&M Corrugated is seeking a Controller to lead the accounting team and partner closely with our CFO on financial strategy, operations, and long‑term growth.

This hands‑on leadership role oversees day‑to‑day accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, audits, and cost accounting, while contributing to strategic business decisions and future executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• CPA strongly preferred
• 6-10 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
• 2-3+ years in a financial management or accounting leadership role
• Strong understanding of manufacturing accounting and cost accounting
• Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, audits, and inventory
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency with accounting and reporting systems and MS Office

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the accounting team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
• Partner with CFO on financial strategy, business decisions, and process improvements
• Prepare, analyze, and present monthly and annual financial statements
• Manage cost accounting and product costing
• Lead annual budgeting and financial planning process
• Oversee fixed assets, capital budgeting, and investments
• Oversee inventory counts, reconciliation, and controls
• Coordinate annual audits with external auditors
• Ensure GAAP compliance and reporting standards
• Prepare financial reporting for lending and compliance needs
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and improved controls
• Support development of accounting processes and reporting
• Collaborate with Quality, Operations, and other departments
