Job summary

Frontgrade Technologies is seeking a Senior Site Controller in Exeter, NH to lead all site-level finance, planning, and accounting. You will partner with site leadership and operations to drive cost reduction, productivity, and margin improvements while ensuring GAAP compliance and DCAA readiness.

We value hands-on leadership, experience with government contracting, and the ability to present to senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of accounting experience with leadership at controller level.
  • Experience in government contracting environment and audits.
  • Knowledge of FAR, DFARS and internal controls.

Responsibilities

  • Own site-level financial reporting including monthly close, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Prepare and present financial results and variance analysis to site and corporate leadership.
  • Partner with operations and program management to drive cost reduction and margins.
  • Manage and develop site accounting staff.
  • Serve as primary contact for DCAA audits and external reviews.
  • Oversee cost accounting, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variance analysis.
  • Ensure GAAP compliance and adherence to company policies.
  • Support government contract accounting and compliance requirements.
  • Lead capital expenditure planning and tracking at the site level.
  • Identify process improvements to enhance financial visibility and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with corporate finance on reporting and initiatives.

Job Description

Senior Site Controller that will be responsible for all financial planning, reporting, accounting and compliance at the facility level. The ideal candidate will serve as a key business partner to site leadership. In addition, this resource will serve as a key business partner and act as a hands-on finance leader who is equally comfortable in the details and presenting to senior leadership, and who understands the unique demands of a government contracting and manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Own all site-level financial reporting including monthly close, forecasting, and annual budgeting
  • Prepare and present financial results, variance analysis, and commentary to site and corporate leadership
  • Partner with operations and program management teams to drive cost reduction, productivity, and margin improvement
  • Manage and develop site accounting staff
  • Act as primary contact for DCAA audits and external reviewsOversee cost accounting, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variance analysis
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company financial policies
  • Support government contract accounting and compliance requirements including FAR and DFARS
  • Lead capital expenditure planning and tracking at the site level
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial visibility and operational efficiency
  • Coordinate with corporate finance on reporting and initiatives
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 8+ years of accounting experience, including leadership/Controller-level
  • Experience in government contracting environment
  • Knowledge of FAR, CAS, and DCAA audits (preferred)
  • Cost accounting / project accounting experience
  • Manufacturing or engineering environment preferred
  • ERP experience (Costpoint or similar preferred)
