We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead financial oversight and operational accounting across Cheer Home Care and Health Care. This role is highly visible and hands-on—responsible for driving financial accuracy, strengthening internal controls, improving process efficiency, and partnering directly with operations to enable profitable growth and best-in-class service.
The ideal candidate is both strategic and tactical—comfortable rolling up their sleeves while also advising leadership on financial performance and operational improvements. The controller will report to the CEO and operate out of the Cheer office located at 5622 La Jolla Blvd, La Jolla, CA 92037.

Experienced, knowledgeable, and comfortable working within small, growing, entrepreneurial organizations.
Accurate and on-time monthly financial close and reporting.
Reduced inventory variance and improved VMI controls.
Strengthened financial discipline and operational transparency across field locations.
CPA (preferred)
Home or Health Care Industry Knowledge (preferred)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 10+ years of relevant accounting or financial leadership experience
Expert understanding of accounting, financial statements, and internal controls
Advanced Excel skills and experience with major ERP systems
Strong communication, leadership presence, and ability to collaborate across functions
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and drive outcomes independently
