Job summary

Summit Point Raceway Associates, INC. is seeking a Controller to lead the accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting across GAAP and government contracting.

This role partners with the VP of Finance to oversee daily accounting, audits, and financial decision-making. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's in accounting, 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, at least 3 years supervising staff, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Seven+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Minimum of 3 years managing or supervising an accounting or finance team.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience with financial reporting and internal controls.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll accounting, fixed assets, and cash management.
• Ensure financial compliance with GAAP and oversee month-end/year-end close and audits.
• Partner with the VP of Finance on annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
