Job summary

Topo Advisors seeks a proactive Controller to deliver high‑quality accounting support for high‑growth venture‑backed clients. You will partner with CEOs and leadership teams, oversee monthly closes, and help shape financial strategy in a fast‑paced startup setting.

The role requires extensive accounting experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to switch between strategic planning and hands‑on execution.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in public accounting, corporate accounting or finance, or similar experience.
• Experience leading accounting for companies with inventory, CPG preferred.
• CPA strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly financial close and general accounting activities for clients.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely deliverables.
• Oversee Topo team members to support engagements.
• Assist budgeting and planning; work on monthly forecasts including cash flow projections.
• Provide leadership on technical accounting questions and updates.
• Assess and improve internal controls and document them as part of operations.
