Hawkeye Electric is seeking a skilled Controller to join our team in Hiawatha, Iowa. You will oversee high‑level accounting, financial reporting, job costing, and project‑based accounting services for clients in construction and real estate.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities while delivering exceptional client service in a fast-paced environment.

Competenze

• Experience in the construction and/or real estate industries required.
• Strong understanding of construction operations, including purchasing, financing, and project processes.
• Experience with job costing, project accounting, and cost tracking.
• Proficiency with multiple accounting software platforms, including QuickBooks and AppFolio.

Mansioni

• Preparing monthly financial statements and account reconciliations.
• Managing AIA billings and cost tracking for projects.
• Performing job costing and cost accounting functions.
• Tracking project costs, budgets, and profitability.
• Recording accruals and prepaid expenses; calculating depreciation.
• Preparing cash flow statements and budgets; assisting with forecasting.
• Preparing and filing sales tax returns and 1099s.
• Processing payroll and W-2 filings; supporting client-facing accounting services.
• Collaborating with team members on multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
