Overview

Are you a hands-on accounting pro who can run the show in a small, fast-moving construction business? We're a growing subcontractor working with repeat industrial clients across the region — and we're hiring a Controller to take charge of our financial operations and help build the systems we need for our next phase of growth.

Base pay range

$115,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yr

What You’ll Do

Oversee Accounts Payable & Receivable
Manage cash flow and bank activity
Own the month-end close process and financial reporting
Coordinate payroll (processed externally via accountant)
Handle COIs, lien releases, and compliance
Lead development of budgets and forecasting
Process daily invoices ranging from small jobs to six-figure projects
Support 20–30 active short-term jobs at a time
Use QuickBooks Online + Fleet Cost & Care for accounting and billing

What We’re Looking For

5–8 years of full-cycle accounting experience, including leadership or 'team of one' roles
Background in construction or subcontractor environments
Experience with union payroll/reporting
Comfortable working independently in a small business setting
Proven ability to manage high transaction volume
