Job summary

Monroe County Hospital in Alabama seeks a senior finance leader to direct the Finance Department and ensure accurate financial reporting, budgeting and close processes. The role oversees payroll, AP, cost analysis, audits and financial controls, partnering with department directors on financial issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 5 years progressive financial management experience.
• 3 years healthcare experience.
• Certified Public Accountant licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct administrative and technical operations of the Finance Department.
• Develop and oversee all phases of Finance including monthly close, budgeting, and cost reporting.
• Perform third party accounting and reimbursement analysis.
• Oversee payroll and accounts payable processing.
• Coordinate annual budget, annual cost report package and audits.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and financial statements.

Education

Certified Public Accountant licensure preferred

Job summary: Direct overall administrative and technical operations of the Finance Department. Develop, execute and oversee all phases of Finance, including monthly financial statement close process, Third Party accounting and reimbursement analysis, monthly balance sheet reconciliation process, annual budget, annual cost report package, statistical gathering and reporting, financial computer systems balancing/maintenance troubleshooting, overseeing payroll and accounts payable processing, productivity/labor utilization reporting, overseeing cashiering functions, annual financial audits (internal and external), and primary resource to department directors for financial issues. Also responsible for the month end accounting, financial statements, balance sheet, budget, and analysis.
