Job description

The Controller is responsible and accountable for managing both the economic and day-to-day operations of the department(s). A clear vision for the center, an unwavering focus on the customer, a constant emphasis on superior performance and value-added strategies, and a steadfast philosophy of self-directed actions and staff ownership all characterize the qualities needed for the administration and management of Fiscal Services. Must possess financial management skills. Superior problem solving and performance improvement skills required. Skills must include the ability to analyze statistical data, prepare reports, develops policy and procedures and provide overall direction to personnel and medical staff. Interpersonal skills are required to act as a liaison among all members of the health care team. Proficiency in computerized systems (including but not limited to): MS Suite. Ability to exhibit/promote progressive management skills in order to facilitate change. Ability to envision the whole picture while focusing on major issues. Proficient in developing executive-level presentations.

Qualifications

• CPA
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance and/or related field
• MBA preferred
• Minimum of 5 years related experience in an acute care setting required
• For‑Profit Hospital experience
• Mid‑size hospital experience as controller or CFOW
• Working Manager
• Experiences: closing, audits, budgeting, auditing, financial statement preparation, A/P & payroll, patient a/r, Meditech and Hyerion experience
