Job summary

Bright Lights USA, Inc. (dba BLUSA Defense Manufacturing) is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead the accounting function for a multi-entity manufacturing organization.

You will own financial reporting, job costing, internal controls, and cash management while partnering with operations and executives to improve profitability and scalability. A manufacturing/job shop background is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including manufacturing.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Strong ERP experience with Global Shop Solutions preferred; QuickBooks a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Oversee job costing in a manufacturing/job shop environment and manage WIP accounting.
• Lead daily accounting activities including AP, AR, GL, payroll, and reconciliations; oversee cash management across entities.
• Supervise accounting staff and collaborate with operations, engineering, and leaders to improve margins and controls.
• Develop KPIs and drive process improvements across multiple entities and ERP systems.

This role is responsible for financial reporting, job costing, internal controls, and cash management across the primary operating company and several smaller affiliated entities.
