Job summary

Unknown Manufacturer, a large publicly traded global company, seeks a Controller to lead financial consolidation, reporting, controls, and transformation across multiple entities. This senior role requires a CPA with extensive experience shaping close processes and governance in a complex environment.

The position offers high visibility, direct reporting to C-suite, and influence over accounting transformation, shared services expansion, and M&A integration at scale.

Qualifications

  • CPA required.
  • 10+ years of progressive financial reporting and consolidation experience.
  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP, PCAOB standards, and SEC reporting requirements.
  • Experience with financial consolidation software.
  • M&A experience including quality of earnings, purchase accounting, and integration.
  • Strong project management and change management skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end close coordination, review, and commentary across a large, multi-entity segment.
  • Drive the segment's full consolidation process including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow commentary.
  • Lead creation and maturity of Shared Services organization.
  • Oversee shared services team development and optimization.
  • Participate in acquisition activity including due diligence, quality of earnings, purchase accounting, and post-close integration.
  • Support SEC requirements.
  • Support implementation and optimization of a new consolidation system.
  • Manage chart of accounts evolution and ensure consistent adoption of accounting and reporting policies across all entities.
  • Serve on governance committees overseeing enterprise structure elements.
  • Partner with external auditors to ensure seamless audit processes.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
  • Drive continuous improvement across close, consolidation, and reporting processes.
  • Ensure strong internal controls over financial reporting across the segment.

A large, publicly traded global $10B Manufacturer is seeking a Controller to serve as a true leader with broad ownership over financial consolidation, reporting, controls, and transformation.

This is a senior leadership role for a technically strong CPA who thrives in complex, multi-entity environments, and wants genuine influence over how a large, evolving organization accounts, consolidates, and reports at scale.

What You'll Own:
  • Lead month-end close coordination, review, and commentary across a large, multi-entity segment
  • Drive the segment's full consolidation process including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow commentary

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA required
  • 10+ years of progressive financial reporting and consolidation experience
  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP, PCAOB standards, and SEC reporting requirements
  • Experience with financial consolidation software
  • M&A experience including quality of earnings, purchase accounting, and integration
