The Headhunters, LLC is seeking a Controller to lead the accounting and finance function from Williamston, Michigan. You will oversee financial reporting, forecasting, analysis, and NetSuite implementation while ensuring US GAAP compliance and strong internal controls.

Ideal candidates have ERP experience, advanced Excel skills, and proven leadership. This in-person role offers some flexibility and occasional work-from-home days with a competitive base salary and bonus potential.

Formación

• The candidate must have a BA/BS in accounting or finance and 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience leading ERP implementations or NetSuite is highly preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities are required.

• Supervise finance staff and support ad hoc projects.

Position Summary:

The Headhunters have been exclusively engaged by closely held group of companies to find a Controller to lead their accounting and finance function from Williamston, Michigan. This role oversees the accounting function, financial reporting, forecasting, analysis and the successful implementation of NetSuite. The successful Controller candidate will ensure compliance with US GAAP accounting standards, maintain internal controls, provide thoughtful analysis to leadership, and maintain a clean set of books across several related entities. Our client is targeting a tech savvy candidate that has ideally led or played a key role in a successful ERP implementation or possesses NetSuite experience. Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and effective communication skills are also requirements. This is an in-person role that offers some flexibility and occasional WFH. The base compensation range is $110k to $150k, plus 15-25% annual target bonus and includes good benefits. Our client will consider stretching for spot-on candidates that require it to consider the opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAP
• Ensure the integrity of financial systems and processes, maintaining accurate and timely financial records
• Coordinate with the FP&A team to develop and monitor the annual operating budget, providing variance analysis and financial forecasts
• Be the focal point for annual external assurance work and collaborate with the outside CPA firm to provide required documentation to ensure compliance
• In conjunction with external consultants effectively implement NetSuite, and utilize MS Excel for financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting (including advanced features like pivot tables and formulas)
• Supervise, mentor, and support finance team staff to ensure high-performance operations
• Other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervision of staff
• Demonstrated experience using ERP systems and advanced proficiency in MS Excel (e.g., pivot tables, advanced formulas, and financial modeling)
• Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
