At Catapult, we are recruiting on behalf of one of our members in their search for a Controller. This is a full time, onsite role in the Charlotte, NC area.

The EDAC Group, a leader in innovative interconnect solutions, is seeking a Controller to join our team in Charlotte, NC. The ideal Controller is strategic and hands-on, overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting business growth. Responsibilities:

Oversee Financial Operations - Lead all accounting functions, ensuring financial integrity and compliance with GAAP. Supervise and manage daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger functions.
Ensure Accurate Financial Reporting – Manage the preparation of financial statements, tax filings, and external audits. Performs trend and variance analysis to support management decision making.
Drive Budgeting & Forecasting – Work with leadership to develop forecasts, monitor financial performance, and identify opportunities for growth.
Optimize Systems & Processes – Implement best practices in accounting procedures, financial controls, and technology-driven improvements.
Lead & Develop the Finance Team – Mentor and grow accounting team, fostering collaboration and efficiency. Hands on leader capable of performing all accounting functions.
Manage IT Support – Ensure IT systems are working, updated and providing value. Resolve IT issues through the utilization and management of third party providers.
Support HR Function – Support HR function with onboarding, benefits and reporting.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
7+ years in accounting/finance, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
Effective communicator with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and team development.
Must be located in the Charlotte, NC area.
