Job summary

Wireless Buybacks, LLC seeks a Controller to oversee day-to-day accounting, supervise the accounting team, ensure proper controls, and deliver timely financial results while supporting strategic initiatives.

You will manage month-end close, budgeting, KPI tracking, and internal/external reporting, while mentoring staff and coordinating with other departments to optimize processes. This role is in person and located in New York.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 5–7 years of accounting experience.
• CPA license preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and QuickBooks.
• Experience with process improvement and internal controls.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to analyze financial information and provide actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
• Manage inventory and treasury operations.
• Process payroll and month-end close.
• Prepare internal financial statements and external reports.
• Develop and track departmental KPIs.
• Lead budgeting and mentor accounting staff.
• Support implementation of new software and controls.
• Ensure policy compliance and internal controls.

Job Description

The Controller will be responsible for supervising, monitoring, and evaluating all day-to-day accounting activities, managing the accounting team, ensuring proper controls and processes are in place, providing timely and accurate financial results, maintaining, and organizing all documentation supporting financial activity, assisting with implementation of new software/technology and creating an enjoyable and cohesive work environment. The Controller will be critical in the evaluation, development, and execution of company financial strategies.

Skills/Experience

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance

• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and QuickBooks, required
• Experience with process improvement, following stated accounting policies and ensuring internal control compliance
