Job summary

Talent Elite Group, based in Woodland Hills, CA, seeks a Controller to lead daily accounting operations across multiple locations. The candidate should have a strong technical accounting foundation and 5–15+ years of experience, including leadership in hospitality, F&B, or multi-unit retail, with familiarity in Sage Intacct and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA (active or in progress) strongly preferred.
• 5–15+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3–5+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience in hospitality, restaurant, F&B, or multi‑unit retail environments highly preferred.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (Sage Intacct or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting and revenue recognition within hospitality.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle accounting operations including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, cash management, and fixed assets.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial variance analyses.
• Partner cross-functionally with operations and FP&A to support budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Support external audits, internal audits, and tax-related processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff, as applicable.
• Assist with strategic initiatives including M&A activity and potential IPO readiness.

SYSTEMS:

POS (Aloha), Sage Intacct (recently implemented), Paycom, MarginEdge (AP)

Preferred: Sage Intacct; Paycom experience is a plus
