Job summary

Requirements
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
  • Responsible for all business accounting and financial activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial leadership across all business sites.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure controllership and consistency of finance and accounting processes across all business sites
  • Manage all cost accounting activities, including inventory standard setting and analysis of manufacturing variances
  • Oversee the monthly closing process, financial reporting, EBITDA forecasting, and cash flow forecasting
  • Provide analysis and recommendations to drive profitable growth; report key metrics and advise leadership
  • Ensure accurate monthly balance sheet reconciliations and support controls testing and audits
SPECIFIC DUTIES ASSIGNED:
  • Support capital expenditure budgets and spending
  • Oversee annual physical inventory and reconciliation
  • Support the development of the annual operating plan
  • Arrange for audits of company accounts
  • Develop and maintain internal control processes
  • Leverage IT systems to automate reporting and facilitate analysis
  • Follow all corporate policies to ensure compliance with standards
  • Prepare and submit timely and accurate financial ledger results
  • Monitor inventory levels, productivity, absorption, and obsolete inventory
  • Travel domestically and internationally on short notice as needed
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Receive, understand, and communicate daily job assignments, priorities, and work instruction
  • Organize, clean, and maintain area tools, and equipment daily
  • Assure all department work centers and related areas are safely maintained, clean, and organized
  • Performs all work within the scope of abilities under all quality and safety policies and practices
  • Establish and maintain effective, positive, and professional communication with all co‑workers
  • Notify management or EHS of all injuries, illnesses, and near-misses as soon as possible
  • Willingly performs other duties as trained and able
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Direct supervision of department employees
  • Involvement with interviews, hiring, directing work, performance appraisals, and addressing concerns
  • Encourage team building, promote employee strength, and demonstrate strong leadership skills
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & CERTIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution
  • 5–10 years of financial experience, preferably in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and/or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) strongly preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Must have speaking ability; and sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics to enable and adequately perform the job

  • Must have sufficient dexterity in both hands and arms to perform routine typing and operate office equipment

  • Bending, reaching outwards and above shoulders, and lifting twenty pounds unassisted approximately 15% of time
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Job activities are generally performed in a lighted and ventilated office and/or factory environment.
