Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an experienced Controller to strengthen financial operations in its growing manufacturing business based in Torrance, California. The role partners with senior leadership, oversees month-end close, and drives GAAP reporting and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in accounting, finance, economics, or business
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience
• 3+ years of management experience with direct reports
• Must have previous experience with SOX compliance
• Strong financial reporting preparation
• Manufacturing industry experience is a plus
• Experience with Oracle similar ERP systems preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
• Manage financial reporting under GAAP
• Support budgeting and forecasting in partnership with executive leadership and FP&A
• Manage and develop a team of 3 direct reports
• Coordinate with external auditors and support audit processes
• Serve as the primary liaison for financial reporting to the international parent company
• Drive process improvements, particularly within ERP environment

Overview

We are seeking an Accounting Manager to join a growing, manufacturing organization with approximately $150–200M in revenue. This role will be instrumental in strengthening financial reporting processes, internal controls, and communication with Finance teams

Key Responsibilities

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Torrance, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
