Job summary

Versatile Mold and Design, Inc. (Versatile) is expanding operations in Puerto Rico and seeks a senior finance leader to partner with the President and ITG, oversee the finance team, and ensure adherence to Heico accounting policies.

You will lead monthly close, budgeting and forecasts, manage A/R/AP, integrate ERP initiatives (D365), drive process improvements, and travel 50% to Puerto Rico at startup or 25% after stabilization.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business, finance/accounting or relevant field required.
• MBA or CPA preferred.
• 5–10 years of progressive financial management experience in manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills; cost accounting foundation.
• Proficient use of MS Office and ERP software; D365 experience a plus.
• Spanish language fluency advantageous.

Job description

Versatile Mold and Design, Inc. (Versatile) is a subsidiary within the Industrial Technologies Group (ITG) platform of The Heico Companies, LLC.

Versatile, based in Rutledge, Georgia, provides complete design, build and support services for precision molds and dies, specializing in thermoset and thermoplastic molding tools as well as metal stamping dies. Additionally, Versatile is a full-service molding facility capable of providing support through all phases of the molding process, from prototyping, through mold design and manufacturing, to mold sampling and into full production. Versatile, is a foundational business of ITG’s Advanced Polymeric Solutions Segment. In 2027 Versatile is expanding operations in Cidra, Puerto Rico as a separate legal entity.

Primary Responsibilities

• Partner to the President and Executive Team in the development and execution of business strategy
• Primary liaison to ITG Finance Team and overseer of ITG platform related initiatives
• Oversee, direct, and organize the work of the Versatile finance team.
• Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
• Support start-up of Puerto Rican operations and oversee all aspects of Finance function. Responsibility includes compliance for Government incentives programs and taxation.
• Lead the closing process related to monthly and year-end cycles to ensure Corporate policies, procedures and deadlines are met.
• Coordinate the preparation of financial information related to annual and long-range strategic business plans and periodic forecasts, working with cross functional teams as necessary.
• Lead monthly performance to plan and forecast analysis.
• Review capital spending needs with the President and prepare supporting Major Expenditure Authorization (MEAs) requests and anticipated investment returns when applicable.
• Lead Microsoft D365/ERP migration initiatives.
• Support integration of segment acquisitions
• Manage the Credit, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable functions.
• Implement/maintain cycle counting processes and conduct physical inventories as necessary.
• Coordinate audits from the Internal Audit Department, Outside Auditors, and State and Local Audits.
• Ensure company operates within Heico’s established accounting policies and procedures.
• Identify opportunities for improvement through process changes, technology advancements and data analysis.
• Continuous exploration of new technologies and identification of opportunities to automate business processes to drive efficiencies and cost savings.
• Develop and monitor key metrics.
• Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance appraisals.
• Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach.
• Lead completion of ad hoc requests in support of the President, ITG and Heico as assigned.
• If located in US, ability to travel to Puerto Rico 50% at start up and 25% once operation is stabilized. If located in Puerto Rico, ability to travel to Rutledge, GA 30%.

Education, Skills & Relevant Work Experience

• An undergraduate degree in business, finance/accounting or a relevant curriculum is required and an MBA or CPA is preferred
• 5-10 years of progressive financial management experience, preferably in manufacturing and in an operating business unit role.
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills. Extensive accounting experience and cost accounting foundation.
• Participative management style - advocates team concepts and efforts. Sound administrative and team management skills.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software. Experience with Microsoft D365 implementations a plus.
• Working knowledge of Manufacturing systems.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Results and profit oriented with the ability to balance business priorities. Capable of establishing credibility and being decisive.
• Professional fluency in Spanish is highly advantageous.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $130,000 to $155,000 annually, with compensation commensurate with the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.
