Job summary

Vicar's Landing in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL is seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting operations and financial reporting for our life plan community. You will report to the CFO, oversee month-end close, manage GL, and drive timely, accurate financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.

As a strategic people leader, you will mentor the accounting team, strengthen internal controls, coordinate audits, and partner with departmental leaders to provide actionable

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation is advantageous.
• Minimum leadership experience in accounting/finance roles.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with audits and internal controls is preferred.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across departments.
• Proficiency with ERP and accounting software systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and reconciliations.
• Prepare and present financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller plays a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, maintaining strong internal controls, supporting organizational planning, and providing meaningful financial insights that support business decisions.
