Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC is partnering with a real estate organization to hire a Controller who will lead its accounting and financial reporting functions. The role partners with executive leadership to drive process improvements and operational efficiency.

The successful candidate will oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes, ensure accurate financial statements, mentor a team of accounting professionals, and collaborate on budgeting, audits, and cash-flow reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 5+ years of accounting leadership experience.
• Real estate, property management, or multi-entity accounting experience preferred.
• Strong financial reporting and general ledger accounting background.
• Experience mentoring accounting staff; CPA is a plus.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Oversee preparation and review of financial statements and management reports
• Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals
• Review general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives

Desired Candidate Profile

• Experience managing and developing accounting staff
• Advanced Excel skills and strong systems aptitude
• CPA is a plus
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
