Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC seeks a Controller in Orange, CT for a full-time onsite leadership role owning the finance function end-to-end and reporting to executive leadership.

You will manage cash, GL, close processes, payroll, payroll taxes, audits, and oversee a team of five plus indirect reports; experience with Sage and ERP/POS systems is a plus; CPA/CMA a bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Progressive accounting experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting; advanced Excel; ERP/POS experience is a plus.
• CPA or CMA is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Own daily cash management and banking relationships across domestic and international accounts.
• Lead month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and inventory costing in Sage.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Supervise payroll processing and ensure payroll tax compliance.
• Oversee audits, tax filings, and HR/insurance renewal processes.
• Manage 5 direct reports and multiple indirect reports; oversee POS system and on‑time shipping and fulfillment.
