Job Details
Are you a seasoned finance professional with a knack for numbers and a passion for strategic planning? If so, we have an exciting opportunity that might just fit your career aspirations. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our dynamic Accounting + Finance team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to play a pivotal role in our financial management, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk.

Responsibilities
As a Controller, you will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate all audit activity.
• Manage cash flow and forecasting. Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
• Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report.
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
• Support month-end and year-end close process.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Qualifications
To be considered for this instrumental role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a senior role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. CPA or MBA preferred.
• Proven working experience as a Financial Controller.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience with creating financial statements and general ledger functions.
• Excellent accounting software user administration skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Impeccable analytical and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated and self-directed.
• Ability to work closely with a senior management team.
