Job summary

Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies in Northfield, NH seeks a Controller to maintain and analyze financial statements, support monthly closes, and drive cost management in a manufacturing setting. You will align daily controlling activities with business needs and ensure policy compliance.

The role requires a degree in Accounting (Master’s preferred), 3–5 years in manufacturing, and strong Excel/Word skills, with English proficiency and readiness to relocate or travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Professional-Level English language skills preferred
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of standard cost accounting systems; experience with QAD/Manufacturing Pro is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Well-organized, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to relocate and travel as required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate all financial activities related to the business, ensuring the integrity of accounting and financial systems.
  • Support monthly and year-end closures, including account reconciliations and audit support.
  • Submit controlling data and financial statements to management teams.
  • Provide financial reports and analyses to support business activities and statutory meetings.
  • Conduct standard cost planning, cost allocations, stock-taking, and manage overdue and investment processes.
  • Manage construction in process and tooling projects, including asset placement and customer invoicing.
  • Interface with commercial, production, and engineering teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of receivables and payables.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly results, including operations based in Mexico, and report to global lead center management.
  • Develop monthly rolling P&L forecasts and support annual operating planning.
  • Prepare financial analyses and supporting documentation for capital investments and statutory meetings.
  • Explain financial concepts to local teams and provide training as needed.
  • Participate in special projects as directed by management.

The Controller is responsible for maintaining, managing, and analyzing financial statements and providing timely, accurate reports to support the organization. This position ensures the integrity of the accounting and financial systems, alignment of daily controlling activities with business needs, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
