Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Controller in North Las Vegas, NV for a permanent on-site role.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of management experience in commercial construction and will oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls to ensure accurate results.

Responsibilities include cash management, WIP, monthly close, regulatory filings, and leading accounting personnel to drive financial integrity and project success.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct experience as a Financial Controller or equivalent in construction.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles, and financial analysis.
• Experience with construction industry accounting and WIP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cash management, fixed assets, general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll
• Ensure accurate financial records and maintain accounting policies and internal controls
• Prepare monthly financial statements and present results to management
• Maintain and review work-in-progress (WIP) schedules at month-end
• Develop, monitor, and communicate monthly and annual operating budgets
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, billing, and collections
• Complete required federal and state regulatory filings and reports
• Lead accounting personnel, including hiring, performance evaluations, discipline, and termination decisions
• Perform additional duties as assigned by senior finance leadership

Position Overview: Seeking a Controller to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, cash flow, budgeting, and internal controls for a construction-related business. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective financial management.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• CPA certification
