Job summary

CFS in the Nanuet, NY area is seeking a Controller to oversee accounting, reporting, budgeting, compliance, and financial operations in a mission-driven nonprofit.

This onsite, full-time role leads general ledger, financial statements, audits, cash flow management, and regulatory filings while mentoring staff and strengthening controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5-7+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of NYS OPWDD financial reporting and compliance requirements is a plus.

• Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger management, financial reporting, accounts payable, payroll, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, audits, cash flow management, and required filings.
