Job summary

Your Part-Time Controller, LLC (YPTC) is a nationally recognized nonprofit accounting leader seeking a hands-on Controller to guide client engagements. The role blends on-site and remote work across nonprofit organizations, delivering outsourced controller/CFO services, financial reporting, and compliance support.

Candidates should bring 5–7+ years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple clients while communicating with boards and finance committees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5-7+ years accounting experience
• Experience with remote environment preferred
• Ability to manage and lead multiple clients
• Demonstrated strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with multiple GL packages, especially QuickBooks, and electronic bill pay systems
• Non-profit accounting, public accounting experience, and/or consulting experience is a plus
• CPA certification is a plus
• Bilingual-English/Spanish a plus

Responsibilities

• Transforming nonprofit client financial departments to help them meet their mission
• Financial reporting for management and Board decision-making and presentations
• Recommending and implementing improvements to accounting, operations, internal controls, and compliance policies and procedures
• Transactional activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, general accounting, reconciliations, month-end close, and maintaining workpapers
• Analysis and data visualization, budgeting and forecasting
• Grant management, allocations, and funder reporting
• Prepare for and manage annual audit
• Client and staff training opportunities

Responsibilities

Serve as the outsourced Controller/CFO for multiple non-profit clients. Your responsibilities would include:

• Transforming nonprofitclientfinancial departmentstohelp themmeettheir mission!
• Financialreporting formanagement andBoarddecisionmakingand presentations
• Recommendingandimplementingimprovements toaccounting, operations, internal controls,andcompliancepolicies andprocedures,supportingclient strategyand best practices

Qualifications

• Passionate about working in or supporting non-profit organizations
• Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance
• 5-7plusyears accounting experience
• Experience working in a remote environment preferred
• Ability to manageand leadmultiple clients, work independently,and be responsiveon a timely basis
• Demonstrated strongMicrosoftExcel skills
• Experience with multiple GL packages, especially QuickBooks, andelectronic bill paysystems

Starting annual base salary is $110,000 to $150,000 based on a 35-hour work week for this non-exempt position. Total compensation may increase with overtime pay and eligibility for various bonuses. A professional development reimbursement and technology stipend are also provided on an annual basis. Please note that the base salary offered may vary depending on relevant factors as determined by Your Part-Time Controller, LLC, which may include, but is not limited to, education, skill, experience, licensure and certifications, internal salary ranges, geographical location, and other business needs.
