Your Part-Time Controller, LLC (YPTC) is a national leader in outsourced nonprofit accounting, offering a hybrid work environment and a standard 35-hour work week. We seek a dedicated Controller to guide multiple nonprofit clients, collaborating with Boards and Finance Committees.

Salary ranges from $100,000 to $125,000 with potential bonuses, paid time off, and generous benefits. Ideal candidates have 5–7+ years in accounting, strong Excel skills, and experience with QuickBooks; CPA is a plus.

• Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
• 5–7+ years accounting experience.
• Experience with multiple GL packages, especially QuickBooks, and electronic bill payment systems.
• CPA certification is a plus.
• Bilingual-English/Spanish a plus.
• Our part-time employees are expected to work during normal business hours to best serve our clients.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the outsourced Controller for multiple nonprofit clients.
• Transform nonprofit client financial departments to meet their mission.
• Financial reporting for management and board decision-making.
• Recommend and implement improvements to accounting, operations, controls, and policies.
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, month-end close, and workpapers.
• Perform analysis and data visualization, budgeting and forecasting.
• Grant management, allocations, and funder reporting.
• Prepare for and manage annual audits.
• Provide client and staff training opportunities.

Responsibilities

Serve as the outsourced Controller/CFO for multiple non-profit clients. Your responsibilities would include:

• Transforming nonprofitclientfinancial departmentstohelp themmeettheir mission!
• Financialreporting formanagement andBoarddecisionmakingand presentations
• Recommendingandimplementingimprovements toaccounting, operations, internal controls,andcompliancepolicies andprocedures,supportingclient strategyand best practices
• Transactionalactivitiesincluding accounts payable, accounts receivable (revenue recognition and billing),andpayroll, general accounting, reconciliations, month-end close,andmaintainingworkpapers
• Analysisand datavisualization, budgeting andforecasting
• Grant management, allocations, and funder reporting
• Prepare for and manage annual audit
• Client and staff training opportunities

Qualifications

• Passionate about working in or supporting non-profit organizations
• Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance
• 5-7plusyears accounting experience
• Experience working in a remote environment preferred
• Ability to manageand leadmultiple clients, work independently,and be responsiveon a timely basis
• Demonstrated strongMicrosoftExcel skills
• Experience with multiple GL packages, especially QuickBooks, andelectronic bill paysystems
• Non-profitaccounting,publicaccounting experience, and/or consulting experienceisa plusbut not required
• CPA certification is a plus
• Bilingual-English/Spanish a plus

Starting annual base salary is $100,000 to $125,000 based on a 35-hour work week for this non-exempt position. Total compensation may increase with overtime pay and eligibility for various bonuses. A professional development reimbursement and technology stipend are also provided on an annual basis.
