Job summary

StevenDouglas partners with a privately held construction company to hire a Controller on-site in Kyle, TX. This leadership role will manage the accounting department, ensure robust financial controls, and serve as the financial backbone for field operations, reporting, and decision support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Controller experience in the Construction industry space.
• Proven experience in job costing, cost control, WIP reporting, revenue recognition, and margin tracking in a construction environment.
• Advanced Excel skills — financial modeling, reporting, dashboards.
• Proven ability to work directly with Project Managers and Operations teams to connect field activity with financial results.
• Strong understanding of labor productivity, earned vs. burned, cost to complete, and job profitability analysis.
