Job summary

Behavioral Health Allies (BHA) is seeking a Controller to support the CFO in managing financial operations and ensuring GAAP compliance for a healthcare and developmental disabilities services organization. The role oversees financial reporting, budgeting, audits, and core accounting functions, within an on-site Kansas City, MO facility.

This is a hands-on leadership position requiring strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial management or accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency with financial software and advanced Excel skills.
• Master's degree and/or CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Experience in healthcare or behavioral health is a plus.

Position Summary

The Controller supports the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in managing financial operations and ensuring compliance with regulations specific to the developmental disability and healthcare sectors. This role is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, audits, and key accounting functions while supporting BHA's mission of delivering exceptional services. This position is based on site, 5 days a week, in Kansas City, MO.

Experience & Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred
