Job summary

Bell & Associates, Inc. is seeking a proactive Controller to lead accounting functions, ensure timely and accurate reporting, and supervise accounting staff. The role emphasizes initiative, responsibility, and independence within a collaborative team environment.

The Controller will oversee general ledger activities, monthly closings, and preparation of schedules for auditors while liaising with the VP-Finance. This is a full-time exempt role with standard weekday hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in public accounting or 5 years of financial statement or month end close responsibility.
• Highly detail oriented.
• Able to communicate effectively.
• Organized and able to analyze information.
• Knowledge of basic general ledger and accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• GL account reconciliations
• Daily cash reporting, revenue accounting and financial analysis
• Bank reconciliations
• Monthly allocations
• Intercompany transactions
• Prepare and perform journal entries to maintain the books
• Provide supervision and assistance to AR/AP manager
• Prepare year-end schedules for auditors
• Coordinate with Business Analyst on system reporting requests
• Perform other duties per VP- Finance’s direction
• Other duties as assigned

Our client is seeking a candidate with the capability of taking initiative, assuming responsibility, working independently, and contributing to a team environment. The Controller provides leadership and management of various accounting functions and staff. This position is responsible for the timely and accurate completion of accounting transactions and reports. This is a full-time, exempt level position working normal business hours Monday through Friday.

Primary Responsibilities

General Duties

• Position responsible for assisting but not limited to GL account reconciliation, daily cash reporting, revenue accounting and financial analysis
• Maintains accounting systems and control procedures for the company's accounts, cash figures and related matters
• Bank Reconciliations
• Monthly Allocations
• Intercompany transactions
• Prepare and perform various journal entries to maintain the company's books
• Provide supervision and assistance to AR/AP manager
• Prepare year-endcompany's schedules for auditors
• Work with Business Analyst to manage system reporting requests from various department managers
• Perform other duties per the VP- Finance’s direction
• Other job-related duties as assigned
