HealthFirst Family Care Center, Inc. in Fall River, MA is seeking a Controller to ensure accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls.
You will lead daily accounting activities, oversee the general ledger, payroll, and accounts payable, and coordinate audits and regulatory compliance. The role reports to the CFO and requires seven years of accounting experience, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and experience in healthcare/nonprofit settings.

HealthFirst Family Care Center, Inc. “The Heart of Our Community” provides comprehensive services including adult/pediatric medical care, health education, health assessment and screenings, gynecology, cardiology, behavioral health, substance use treatment, and adult/pediatric dental care.
The Controller is responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the organization's accounting and financial reporting functions. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller leads day-to-day accounting operations, general ledger management, month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, internal controls, payroll oversight, accounts payable, grant accounting, audit coordination, and regulatory compliance. The Controller provides financial analysis and operational insight to support management decision-making and ensures accounting practices comply with GAAP, Uniform Guidance, HRSA requirements, and organizational policies.

$88,115.68 – $105,706.90 annually*
*The pay range represents HealthFirst’s good faith estimate for this role at the time of posting, in compliance with applicable laws. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors such as relevant experience, education, skills, internal equity, market conditions, and budget considerations. Candidates with less direct experience may be placed at the lower end of the range, while those with more significant or specialized experience may be considered at the higher end.
