We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to lead our U.S. financial operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on financial leader who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment and is comfortable working independently. The Controller will oversee all aspects of financial accounting, reporting, compliance, and audit preparation, while supporting global finance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and invoicing in accordance with contract requirements.
• Manage month-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of financial reporting packages.
• Present financial results to senior leadership and global finance teams; participate in board and management meetings as needed.
• Oversee tax compliance, including preparation and filing of local, state, and federal tax returns.
• Support external audits and GSA reporting, including catalog updates and audit coordination.
• Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and process improvements aligned with ISO 9000 or similar standards.
• Utilize Microsoft Office and Adobe tools to analyze and communicate financial data.
• Supervise payroll processes, employee benefit payments, and 401(k) plan distributions.
• Collaborate with global finance teams on intercompany reconciliations and reporting alignment.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years of financial accounting, reporting, and forecasting experience.
• At least 5 years of management experience, ideally at the Controller level.
• Strong understanding of commercial accounting systems and reporting tools.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Must be eligible to obtain a DoD security clearance.
• Proven ability to lead projects and teams, manage deadlines, and work independently.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with government contracts and GSA reporting is a plus.
  
  

Work Environment

• Fully remote position with flexibility.
• Quarterly travel to the Washington, D.C. area required.
• Occasional international travel may be necessary.
  
  

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $57.69/hr.
