Job summary

Finatal seeks a Division Controller to lead controllership for a multi-location organization, safeguarding the integrity of the numbers and advising divisional leadership for profitable growth.

Reporting to the senior accounting executive, you will own the close for monthly, quarterly, and annual periods, strengthen internal controls, and collaborate with FP&A, operations, HR, and IT to automate processes while mentoring the accounting team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership.
• Experience in a multi-location, high-growth environment (sales, service, or manufacturing a plus).
• Strong US GAAP, internal controls, and audit exposure.
• ERP experience (Microsoft Dynamics or similar).
• A collaborative style with ability to influence both finance and non-finance leaders.
• Bias for execution and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, ensuring GAAP reporting is accurate and timely.
• Strengthen internal controls, GL integrity, and audit readiness.
• Turn results into insights with FP&A and operations to explain variances and drive decisions.
• Oversee payroll and labor accounting, accruals, and benefits cost reporting in coordination with HR.
• Manage working capital, including AR aging, collections, reserves, and disbursement approvals.
• Partner with shared services, IT, and corporate teams to automate, simplify, and improve processes.
• Develop and mentor the accounting team.
