Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Controller in Cleveland, OH to oversee accounting and HR functions and report directly to the CEO. This in-person leadership role is with a privately owned A/V services company offering growth opportunities and a strong benefits package.

The successful candidate will manage full cycle accounting, payroll, budgets, and financial reporting, using QuickBooks, while guiding the accounting team and partnering with the CEO on contracts and pricing.

Qualifications

• Prior experience leading Accounting + HR functions within 1 organization.
• QuickBooks Enterprise and Online proficiency.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Contract review.
• Payroll management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full cycle accounting, ensuring timely and accurate month-end close.
• AP, AR, Payroll, GL oversight.
• Manage and train accounting department.
• Manage cash flow to meet organizational needs.
• Oversee purchasing and payroll activities.
• Collaborate with CEO on contracts and pricing to meet standards.
• Draft and manage operating and project budgets and forecasts.
• Financial reporting including balance sheet and costs.
• Maintain accounting and documentation systems – QuickBooks.
• Lead audit/finance committee.
• Monitor banking information.
• Inventory and fixed asset accounting.
• Manage vendor pricing and contracts.
• HR Management: insurance coverage, compensation analysis, payroll oversight, recruiting oversight, employee relations.

Job Summary

The Controller will oversee the accounting and HR functions, reporting to the CEO.

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Oversee full cycle accounting, ensuring timely and accurate month-end close
• > AP, AR, Payroll, GL
• Manage and train accounting department
• Manage cash flow, ensuring organizational needs are met
• Oversee purchasing and payroll activities
• Work with CEO to ensure contracts and pricing meet company standards
• Drafting and management of operational and project budgets and forecasts
• Financial reporting including balance sheet, operating costs, etc

Required Qualifications
