Job summary

EMCOR Services Betlem is seeking a Controller to lead day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance. Reporting to the CFO, this role will ensure accurate financial information and scalable processes across the organization.

This position oversees the general ledger, payroll, close processes, audits, and cash flow analysis while mentoring the accounting team and partnering on budgets and forecasts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or equivalent professional certification is a plus.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience including people management.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Proven ability to improve processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting systems and Excel; ERP experience (COINS/Oracle/SAP).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, payable/receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and revenue recognition.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements per GAAP.
• Manage close processes and ensure timely reporting.
• Develop and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies.
• Coordinate external audits, sales tax filings, and regulatory reporting.

Job Summary

EMCOR Services Betlem is looking for a Controller who is a finance leader responsible for overseeing the company’s day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will play a critical part in ensuring accurate financial information, strengthening processes, and supporting strategic decision‑making across the organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and revenue recognition.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage the close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies.
• Coordinate and lead external audits, sales tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Partner with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
• Provide clear financial insights and variance analysis to support business decisions.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Support system implementations, process improvements, and scalability initiatives as the company grows.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
