Job summary

The Bolton Group is seeking a Financial Controller for our Northern Chicago Suburb (Hybrid) with a focus on Month-end Close, financial reporting, and inventory accounting in a manufacturing setting. The role reports to the Director of Finance for North America and will partner with the GM.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of overall experience with 5+ years of supervisory experience, strong G/L and reporting skills, and proficiency in SAP or similar ERP.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall experience with 5+ years of supervisory experience.
• G/L accounting and financial reporting experience; ability to report to HQ in Europe.
• Experience in manufacturing or inventory-heavy environments; not a pure cost accounting role.
• SAP or other large ERP is a plus.
• Strong MS Excel skills; Excel assessment will be given.

Responsibilities

• Own Month-end Close and Financial Reporting.
• Oversee Operational Accounting (AP/AR) and Inventory accounting.
• Lead and manage team including 1 Accountant, 1 A/P Specialist, 2 A/R Specialists.
• Partner with GM and North America Director of Finance.

One of our very good manufacturing clients is seeking a Financial Controller who will own Month-end Close, Financial Reporting, Oversee Operational Accounting (AP/AR), Inventory accounting, and more.

• Team – Will oversee 1 Accountant, 1 A/P Specialist, 2 A/R Specialists
• Reports To – Director of Finance for North America
• Business Partner – GM

Ideal Profile:

• 10+ years of overall experience (with 5+ years of supervisory experience)
• G/L Accounting and Financial reporting experience – will report financials to HQ located in Europe
• Manufacturing industry or any that have inventory (this is not a cost accounting role)
• SAP a plus or other larger ERP
• Must have solid MS Excel skills (an MS Excel Assessment will be given)
